Inspiring batting performances by S. Suprith (73) and L. Hemanth Kumar (64), combined with some good bowling by Surya A. Naragund (5/14), enabled SBRR Mahajana FGC to register a big 161-run win over Sarada Vilas College, Mysuru, in the semi-final of the KSCA Mysuru Zone Inter-Collegiate Cricket Tournament played at the SDNR Wadiyar Grounds here yesterday.

Batting first, SBRR Mahajana FGC posted a total of 210/5 in 30 overs. Good batting performances by S. Suprith (73, 4×4, 2×6) and L. Hemanth Kumar (64, 6×4) boosted the total.

In reply, Sarada Vilas College, Mysuru, were bowled out for a paltry 49 in 15.1 overs. Leg-spinner Surya S. Naragund impressed with figures of 5/14. He was well-supported by Sibtain Ali (2/19) and M.S. Mithun Jain (2/11).

With this big win, SBRR Mahajana FGC entered the final of the Tournament.
