KSCA Mysuru Zone Inter-Collegiate Cricket Tourney: Sapient College wins title

An inspiring knock by opener and south-paw B. Dheemanth (90, 9×4, 1×6), enabled Sapient College of Commerce & Management, Mysuru, to score a 9-run win over Maharaja’s College, Mysuru, in the finals of the KSCA Mysuru Zone Inter-Collegiate Cricket Tournament 2017-18 played at SDNR Wadiyar Platinum Jubilee University Grounds here yesterday.

Final — Sapient College of Commerce & Management, Mysuru: 188 for 6 in 29 overs (B. Dheemanth 90, Kishan S. Bedare 39, Bharath 3 for 35) bt Maharaja’s College, Mysuru: 179 for 9 in 29 overs (Nandan Narayan 63 n.o., Smith Stalin Jose 44, Utham Aiyappa 2 for 29, Gowtham Sagar 2 for 32).

Semi-final — PES College of Science, Arts & Commerce, Mandya: 98 in 29 overs (Smith Stalin Jose 4 for 34, Bharath 3 for 12, Karthik Kumar 2 for 21) lost to Maharaja’s College, Mysuru: 99 for 5 in 17.2 overs (Ashrith 25, Tarun Kumar 22, Sumanth 2 for 13, Darshan 2 for 32).
