KSCA South Zone Tournament for U-14: Andhra CA secures first innings lead

Andhra CA secured first innings lead in the two-day drawn match against hosts Karnataka in the KSCA South Zone Tournament for U-14 years 2019-20 played at the Alur Grounds in Bengaluru on Thursday and Friday respectively.

Batting first, Andhra CA scored 232 in 84.5 overs. B. Yashwanth (65) and S.V. Rahul (59) were the main scorers. M.B. Shivam took 3/34 for Karnataka.

In reply, Karnataka were bowled out for 185 in 87.4 overs. Openers M.B. Shivam (11) and Mysuru lad M. Kanishk (16) added 21-runs for the opening wicket, before the former was out.

Samit Dravid (73,8×4) and Ravi Kairav Reddy (31, 2×4) batted well and added 103-runs for the third-wicket. After the fall of Samit Dravid and Ravi, the Karnataka middle-order batsman failed and were bowled out for 185 in 87.4 overs.

The match ended in a draw, but Andhra CA gained the vital first innings lead and the points. Karnataka secured a solitary point for the drawn encounter.
