To end the confusion over applying for degree certificates during Convocation, the city-based Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) has issued a notification stating that those who got admitted to the University in 2013-14 and 2014-15 academic years and completed their degree, can also apply for degree certificates during the Convocation in January, 2026. According to the notification issued by KSOU Registrar (Evaluation) on Dec. 16, students admitted to various degree, PG and PG Diploma courses in 2013-14 and 2014-15 and successfully completed their course by April-May, 2024, can apply for degree certificates.
Students who have passed the Graduate and Post-Graduate courses and Ph.D holders who are eligible for getting Gold Medal and Cash Prizes, only can attend the KSOU’s Annual Convocation by paying a fee of Rs. 1,700.
Pay fee before Jan. 10
Also, those students who want to get their degrees in absentia too should pay a fee of Rs. 1,700 before Jan. 10, 2026 without late fee and by Jan. 15, 2026, with a penalty of Rs. 100, the notification by the KSOU Registrar said.
