KSOU  Professor to receive ‘Thirukkural Ratna Award’ in Mauritius on Sept. 25

Mysore/Mysuru: Dr. P. Mani, Assistant Professor, Department of Studies and Research in Kannada, Karnataka State Open University (KSOU), Mysuru, will be conferred ‘Thirukkural Ratna Award’ at the 16th IMTC International Conference on Tamil Culture in Mauritius.

Established in 1974, the International Movement for Tamil Culture (IMTC) is a non-profit, non-political, charity, Tamil Cultural Organisation, run by volunteers and present headquarters is in London, UK.

IMTC has established branches in 42 countries and presently active in 13 countries. The                      IMTC’s mission is to propagate, foster, and develop Tamil Culture all over the world, where Tamils are living. 15 IMTC International Conferences are held so far.

The IMTC in collaboration with the International Association of Tamil Diaspora (INTAD), Murugan Foundation, and International Thirukkural Foundation, Mauritius, is organising the 16th IMTC International Conference on International Tamil Diaspora: Opportunities and Challenges between Sept. 24 and 26 at  University of Mauritius.

Dr. P. Mani of Mysuru has been invited as guest of honour and to receive the ‘Thirukkural Ratna Award’ on Sept. 25 for translating ‘Thirukkural: The Judgement and the Solution’ in Kannada.
