KSOU student writes to Prez seeking mercy killing

Mysuru: A student of KSOU, who has been disappointed with the turn of events at the University, has sought euthanasia or mercy killing in a letter to the President of India.

The youth is A.S. Nandeesh of Annahalli village of Malavalli Taluk in Mandya district. He has written that he has been extremely pained with the developments at KSOU after UGC withdrew the recognition.

Addressing a press meet at Pathrakarthara Bhavan here this morning, the aggrieved student said, “I had applied for a PG course in 2014 and got an admission. Prof. M.G. Krishnan was the Vice-Chancellor then. I passed the first year exam and decided to take up the K-Set exam in order to try for a Lecturer’s post and even passed the exam. However, after 2013, the KSOU degree certificates have lost its sanctity. Even though I apply for jobs, since my degree is not recognised, my chances of getting jobs are ruled out. I am feeling frustrated and hence I am appealing the President for mercy killing.”
