KSOU students threaten stir

Mysuru: Even as the KSOU fake marks card racket is making news, the aggrieved students of the same institution are up in arms threatening to launch an agitation if the recognition to the University is not restored immediately.

It may be recalled that the recognition to the KSOU had been withdrawn since the last four years. The aggrieved students, addressing a press conference, at Patrakartara Bhavan, here yesterday said that in spite of the de-recognition, the University had not made any effort to renew the recognition, which has landed lakhs of students in trouble.

The students had opted for different courses offered by the KSOU and in this even Government servants are students. Those who have written the competitive examinations are also students of this institution. However, as the UGC has de-recognised the courses, the students are in deep trouble.

The students demanded the intervention of the State and the Central Governments to solve their problems. Students Narayanraj, R. Phaneesh, Mahendra and Pramod were present at the press meet.
