Karnataka State Open University (KSOU), in association with JobKart, will be organising virtual ‘Udyoga Mela’ (Job Fair) from Mar. 15 to 22. While over 100 companies are expected to participate in the 8-day job fair, over 6,700 job aspirants will attend the Mela.
Dy.CM Dr. C.N. Ashwathnarayan will inaugurate. KSOU VC Prof. Vidyashankar, Registrar Prof. Lingaraja Gandhi, employment officer Dr. R.H. Pavithra, JobKart CEO S.V. Venkatesh and others will take part.
Employment officer Dr. Pavithra has stated that KSOU Placement Cell has maintained data of over 19,000 unemployed students who will be informed about the job fair through SMS.
How to participate in the Job Fair: Participants need to download the Job Kart app available on Google Play Store, fill-in their educational qualification details in the app and upload the scanned copies of relevant documents as well as one-minute video clip about their educational qualification. Based on their qualification and skills, one can select suitable jobs to apply.
The names of short-listed candidates will be published by the participating companies and will be communicated over the phone for an interview. The recruitment of candidates will be based on direct interview process.
