KSRTC bus catches fire near Rly. Station

Mysuru: A KSRTC Bus (KA-09 F-4886) en route Virajpet, caught fire suddenly at Dasappa Circle near the City Railway Station yesterday afternoon.

The incident occurred just few minutes after the bus had left for Virajpet from the                                      Sub-Urban Bus Stand. Soon, an alert bus driver stopped the bus to the side of the road and helped the passengers alight safely with the help of the conductor.

Following this, they informed the Fire and Emergency personnel, who rushed to spot and extinguished the fire. Luckily, no one was injured.

On receiving the information, Devaraja Police arrived at the spot and conducted the mahazar.

It may be recalled that a similar incident had occurred to a bus belonging to H.D. Kote KSRTC Depot on Dec. 2 on Devalapura- Jakkahalli route on H.D. Kote Road.
