Top-seed G.S. Sanjay (Kerala) and local lad Aryan Ashwath Pathange (KAR) scored creditable wins over their respective rivals and entered the semi-finals in the U-18 boys section in the KTPPA-MTC AITA Championship Series Tennis Championship, played at the Mysore Tennis Club, here yesterday.

Sanjay scored a well earned 2-6, 6-3, 6-2 win over eighth seed Anand Prakash Gupta (MP), while second seeded Aryan Ashwath Pathange cruised to a 6-4, 6-1 win over D. Harshavardhan (TN) to enter the quarter-finals in the U-18 boys singles event.

In the girls U-18 singles, top-seed  P. Yashaswini Singh (MP) outsmarted the challenge put up by Nitya Shekar 6-0, 6-1, while second seed Sanjana Sirimalla (TEL) got the better of R. Sagaya  Angelin Shalini 6-1, 6-1.
