Sir,
I am senior citizen aged 71 years. A week back, I received a message on my cell phone from the Passport Office, informing me to contact Saraswathipuram Police Station for verification. Accordingly, I went there along with my relevant records. It was about 10.10 am and almost all Station personnel were busy in their office work.
Entering into the Police Station I just enquired the receptionist as to whom I have to contact. The concerned staff politely told me to contact one Kumar. As informed by him I stepped into the room where Kumar was seated. He too was busy with his office work like others. Upon seeing me and after hearing the purpose of my visit, he asked me with a smiling face to take seat, and wait for ten minutes. In the meantime he began to verify my records and completed the process within the time limit as given by him. I thanked him and shook hands.
The friendly atmosphere at Police Station and the respect shown to senior citizens made me feel very happy in these days where the officials make the citizens run from pillar to post for simple works. I thank all of them and wish them all the best.
