Mysore/Mysuru: The Wadiyar Centre for Architecture (WCFA), Mysuru, recently marked Environmental Day with a significant clean-up activity at the Kukkarahalli Lake path area, aiming to boost environmental awareness and community involvement.
Considerable investment ensured the safety and comfort of participants, with funds allocated for T-shirts, masks and gloves for students and the public.
Enthusiastic students and faculty members took pride in their work, significantly improving the cleanliness of the Lake path area. The initiative also received warm support from the public, who appreciated the effort and expressed a desire for similar events in the future.
The Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) Horticulture Department, represented by S.K. Muzar and Aswath Prasad, along with Supervisor Raghavendra and staff, provided invaluable assistance in clearing the collected garbage. This collaborative effort highlighted the importance of community engagement in environmental conservation. The event’s success was largely attributed to the dedication of faculty coordinator Deepak Ramachandra and the active involvement of Student Council President Dhanush.
The event improved the local environment and fostered a sense of community and responsibility among participants. It was planned and executed by the Administrative Department under the guidance of Administrative Officer Srinath Bhadram and Principal Anand Krishnamurthy.
