T. Narasipur: Preparations have been all made for the three-day Kumbha Mela at Triveni Sangama here from Feb. 10 to 12. The Maha Kumbh Mela at Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh, continues to attract the pilgrims, while no stone is left unturned to attract the devotees to the Kumbha Mela here considered as the mega religious event of the South India.

The District Administration has made elaborate arrangements, building bathing ghats at three places in Triveni Sangama — the confluence of 3 rivers Kaveri (Cauvery), Kapila and Spatika — for the benefit of devotees, descending on the town from various parts of the State, to take a holy dip. Tomorrow (Feb. 10) at 6 am, the rituals will begin during the auspicious Magha Shudhdha, Chaturdashi Ashlesha Nakshatra, with the priests performing Punyaha, Navagraha Puja, Japa (Chanting), Navagraha Homa and Poornahuti, followed by a religious meeting at 11 am.
