Event being held to encourage women entrepreneurs
Mysore/Mysuru: Samskruti Women’s Sphere, a women organisation, has organised ‘Kushi Utsav’ at Jayamma Govindegowda Kalyana Mantap in Kuvempunagar tomorrow (Apr. 7) from 10.30 am to 8 pm, said Sridevi Bhoopalam, President of the organisation.
Addressing a press meet at Patrakartara Bhavan on Monday, she said, “Kushi Utsav which is being organised to encourage women entrepreneurship will have more than 50 stalls and about 10 women from various districts will display and sell their handicraft products. Free medical check up and dance camps are also being arranged.”
She further said that drawing competition for children will be held on Apr. 7 from 11 am to 12 noon. In addition, cooking without fire, writing competitions, singing of Lata Mangeshkar songs and fashion show have also been organised at the Utsav, Sridevi added.
Triathlon trainer and Ironman Title Holder Dr. Usha Hegde, entrepreneurs Namrata Shenoy, Khushi Vinu, Pooja Joshi, Woman Priest Dr. P. Bhramarambha Maheshwari and International Sportsperson (karate) K.R. Rashmi will be felicitated on the occasion.
