Mysuru: Opposing the Union Government’s move to favour the corporate sector by privatising Government organisations, Joint Committee of Leftists has announced a Labour Strike on Jan.8 and 9 to protect the interests of the labour class in various sectors.
Disclosing this at a press meet at Pathrakartara Bhavan here yesterday, Socialist Unity Centre of India (SUCI) District Committee Organising Secretary M. Umadevi said that the Union Government was following an anti-labour policy and supporting corporates draining crores of rupees.
CPI(M) District Secretary H.R. Seshadri said, all Labour Unions would support the stir along with employees of Banks, Insurance Companies, KSRTC, Railway and those from unorganised sector.
