Labour Unions to stage protest at Bengaluru on Feb.1

Mysore/Mysuru: Labour Unions will stage a demonstration at Freedom Park in Bengaluru on Feb.1 in protest against the Centre’s anti-Labour Policies and seeking fulfilment of their various demands.

Announcing this at a press meet here on Sunday, AITUC State General Secretary M. Jayamma said that Mid-day Meal scheme, Anganwadi, ASHA, Industrial, Construction, Transport, Plantation, Beedi workers as well as workers from the unorganised sector will be taking part in the demonstration.

The demands include implementation of guarantee for scheme workers, redressal of wage issues, industrial working hours issue etc., she said.

The protest demonstration will commence with a public rally at 10.30 am in which 30,000 workers from different parts of the State will take part, she added.
