This is to draw the attention of the authorities concerned and elected representatives to the lack of streetlights on Mahadevapura Main Road (Azeez Sait Main Road), stretching from Udayagiri Circle to its junction with the Outer Ring Road near Sathagalli Bus Depot.

This busy road is riddled with dug-up sections, further increasing the risk of accidents, compounded by the absence of adequate lighting.

Commuters on this stretch are forced to rely on the limited lighting from nearby shops, making it increasingly hazardous once the shops close around 10 pm.

It is appalling that such a well-trafficked road, frequented by hundreds daily, remains neglected when it comes to proper streetlights. The road also remains unrepaired after being dug-up for UGD works near Shanthinagar Junction long ago.

Through this medium, I urge the authorities and representatives to address this pressing issue immediately. Please install adequate streetlights along the entire road and prioritise the re-asphalting of dug-up portions to ensure the safety and convenience of tax-paying citizens.
