Lady Cops told to work without fear

Mysore/Mysuru: ‘Manaswini,’ as it is called, was sponsored and presented by Rotary District 3181 with Six Rotary Clubs — Rotary Mysore Midtown, Rotary Mysore, Rotary North, Rotary Brindavan, Rotary Panchasheel and Rotary Ambari — who got together to organise an event for lady Police personnel of Mysuru City for their dedicated contribution to the society.

The event was organised at Dhvanyaloka Open Air Theatre, Bogadi Road and co-sponsored by Inner Wheel Midtown. It was inaugurated by District Governor Rtn. Ranganath Bhat and Ann. Rajani Bhat. 

Chief guest Dr. Y.N. Mahalakshmi, Administrative Medical Officer, Old Agrahara PHC, Mysuru, spoke about her life experiences and requested all the lady Police personnel to work without fear. She also stressed on the need to educate a girl child which will make her face the world being strong. 

Chief Superintendent of Mysore Central Jail Divyashree explained the way she has gained the top job. She emphasised the role of education on a girl child. Coming from neighbouring town of Mandya and being a student of a Government School, Divyashree has come the hardway to be the Chief Jail Superintendent. 

After the speech, DJ Rashmi and Aniruddha of Kreatement Events engaged the Police personnel along with their families with fun-filled activities.
