Mysore/Mysuru: Superintendent of Police R. Chethan has transferred a Sub-Inspector and a Police Constable attached to Sargur Police Station on charges of allowing an individual to celebrate his birthday inside the Police Station recently.
Last week, SI Divya had allowed Shivu of Sargur town to cut cake inside her chamber in front of other Police personnel. This video of cake cutting had gone viral in social media and triggered debate.
The SP had directed Additional SP Shivakumar and Circle Inspector Anand to conduct an inquiry and submit report. Since it was proved that SI Divya had allowed birthday celebration inside the Police Station in which the staff members participated, she has been posted to work on OOD at Hunsur Town Police Station. Police Constable Chetan Kumar has been transferred to Nanjangud Police Station.
SI Sushma has been posted to Sargur Police Station.
