Lalitadripura revenue site residents express concern over MUDA notice

Mysuru: Lalitadripura revenue site residents have expressed concern over MUDA’s move to demolish their houses.

Addressing a press meet here yesterday, Uttanahalli Mayanna, a resident, claimed that they have been living in houses built on revenue sites at Lalitadripura since 25 years.

Stating that 140 families have been living in the area after getting Khata from Alanahalli Gram Panchayat, he said all the residents were paying House Tax to the Panchayat. But now, Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) has issued a notice asking them to vacant                                                         the land, saying that the MUDA has acquired the land. The MUDA has also warned of demolishing the houses if they failed to vacate, which is not correct, Mayanna said.

He urged the authorities not to disturb them and allow them to reside in their houses which they have built 25 years ago.
