Lalitha Mahal Road residents complain of water scarcity

Sir,

We the residents of Sankalpmahal on Lalitha Mahal Road wish to bring to the notice of MCC Commissioner regarding irregular and poor supply of water. It is an irony that when both KRS and Mettur Dams are full and thousands of cusecs of precious fresh water is being let off into the sea, we the tax-paying citizens on Lalitha Mahal Road are struggling for water to meet our minimum requirement.

We normally get water on alternate days. However, since a month we get water once in three days, that too just for a few hours forcing the residents to purchase water on other days. Whenever we approach the water supply office adjacent to the entrance of Karanji Lake, more often than not it is locked.

We believe the major cause is the indifferent and couldn’t-care-less-attitude by the staff and poor supervision by the higher-ups.

We request our new MCC Commissioner to kindly intervene at the earliest and arrange for normal water supply for the residents on Lalitha Mahal Road.
