Lashkar Police nab car thief

Mysore/Mysuru: Lashkar Police have arrested a person for allegedly stealing a car worth Rs.7 lakh in city.

According to Police, the accused has been identified as B.E. Satish, a resident of Bannaghatta village in Pandavapura taluk. The specialty in this case was the accused using his girl friend in conducting the offence. 

On Feb. 28 at 6 pm, Goutham Shekar of Pandavapura had come to Silk Showroom in city with his family for shopping. He had parked his vehicle in front of RRR Hotel. When he returned after shopping, the car was missing and he lodged a complaint at the jurisdictional Lashkar                             Police Station.

Duplicate key

The accused was known to the complainant. Satish’s girlfriend  was working in Goutham’s house and he used to meet her there. He somehow convinced her to show the place where the car’s duplicate key was kept and  stole the key.  On Feb.28, Satish came to know that Goutham was going to Mysuru for shopping with his family members and followed him. Then he stole the parked car using the duplicate key. The Police zeroed in on the accused after they found that the duplicate key was missing from the house. During interrogation, Satish spilled the bean.

Police have registered a case and are investigating further.
