Law students demand promotion of even sem students

Mysore/Mysuru: Accusing Karnataka Law University of failing to render justice to Law students amid the COVID-19 pandemic, over 40 Law students from different Colleges of the city, under the banner of Students Federation of India (SFI), staged a demonstration in front of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office here this morning seeking fulfillment of their demands.

Contending that barring first semester, classes for rest of the semesters were not conducted in a regular manner, the protestors urged the Governor, who is the Chancellor of the University, to promote all even semester students to the next class and to immediately start classes for the next semester.

They also wanted the Law University to conduct supplementary exams for failed students of final semester immediately and to release the calendar of the new academic year at the earliest, in the better interests of students.

SFI office-bearers Vijaykumar, Mohanraj, Shashank, Suprit, Saba Kauser, Gautham, Bhumik and others took part in  the protest.
