‘Leadership qualities, professional skills key for successful entrepreneurship’

Mysuru: Maintaining that strong leadership qualities and professional skills hold key for becoming a successful entrepreneur, D. Srinath, CEO, Supreme Plasticizers, has called upon budding entrepreneurs to grab every opportunity to become successful and create a dominant position in the market.

He was speaking after inaugurating a two-day Industry-Institute Interface on opportunities for start-up entrepreneurs organised by B.N. Bahadur Institute of Management Sciences (BIMS) at Rani Bahadur auditorium in Manasagangothri here yesterday.

Pointing out that the Indian start-up eco-system has witnessed an immense growth, Srinath observed that the Indian market is foreseeing market domination for start-ups, especially in online retailing and service industry.

Citing the example of Reliance Industries Founder Dhirubhai Ambani, he said that Ambani rose to great heights due to sheer dedication and  determination.

Underlining the importance of Management Information Systems in the development of leadership qualities and skills, Srinath said budding entrepreneurs should have a good understanding of numerous government and semi-govermental initiatives to assist start-ups.

BIMS Chairman Dr. S.J. Manjunath presided. University of Mysore’s Department of Commerce Dean Prof.  Ayesha M. Shariff and others were present.

More than 200 MBA and other students took part in this two-day meet which concludes today.
