Mysuru: – Kalpa Kshetra – Centre for Heritage and Culture has organised a lecture on ‘The Science of Agnihotra’ by Prof.P.R. Mukund at 4 pm on Sunday (June 24) at its premises at 581/1, Vijayanagar 4th Stage 1st Phase, Mysuru.
Agnihotra is a ritual mentioned in ancient Vedic scriptures performed at sunrise and sunset daily for purifying the atmosphere by reducing pollution through a specially prepared fire.
Prof.P.R.Mukund, hailing from Bengaluru, is a professor in the EME Department of Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester, NY, USA and has been known for his work on Analogue and RF Integrated Circuit design. He has to his credit publication of many technical papers and is a regular in IEEE and other lecture circuits.
Apart from his career as an educator, Prof.Mukund is deeply interested in the studying and spreading of Vedic wisdom through lectures and publications. His Foundation has developed a unique patented technology called Waterfiche for preserving palm leaf manuscripts for a long period of time.
