Mandya: Three leopard cubs have been found in the sugarcane field at Modachakanahalli village in the taluk.
The sugarcane field belongs to Chethan of the village and the three cubs were found when labourers were harvesting sugarcane and immediately informed the Forest Department authorities.
Forest officials, who reached the spot, have taken the three cubs into their custody. Meanwhile, the villagers, sensing that the mother leopard would come in search of her cubs, have urged the Forest officials to capture the mother leopard and unite it with her cubs.
