H.D. Kote: Two leopard cubs have been trapped in a cage at Beechanahalli in the taluk this morning.
Villagers, who had spotted the leopard and her cubs in the village recently, had informed the Forest Department Officials, who had placed a cage at the workshop of the Irrigation Department which is in ruins.
This morning, two cubs have walked into the cage and have been trapped. On noticing two cubs trapped in the cage, the villagers informed the Forest Officials, who visited the spot.
The Forest Officials said that the leopard cubs would be released into the forest after obtaining permission from the higher officials.
