Mysore/Mysuru: A four-year-old leopardess that had created a sense of fear among the villagers of Janthagalli in the taluk by appearing in the vicinity of the village frequently, has been trapped in a cage placed by the Forest Department on Friday.
Following complaints from the villagers about frequent sighting of the leopardess in the vicinity of the village, the Forest Department staff had placed a cage at J.K. Farm in the village and the leopardess, walked into the cage and got trapped on Friday.
The Forest staff, who visited the farm, shifted the cage along with the leopardess to Aranya Bhavan in Mysuru. The leopardess is healthy and was freed inside Moolehole Range in Bandipur.
