Leopardess trapped in cage

T. Narasipur: A leopardess, which had created fear among the people by attacking their livestock, has been trapped in the cage placed by the Forest Department in an agricultural field at Boodanahalli village, Sosale hobli in T. Narasipur taluk.

The leopardess, aged about three years had created panic among the villagers of Boodanahalli and surrounding places since a couple of days following which the villagers had lodged a complaint with the Forest Department.

Following the complaint, the Forest staff had placed a cage in the agri field and had placed a chicken inside it. The leopardess, which walked into the cage to hunt the chicken got itself trapped. The leopardess was microchipped and released into Bandipur Reserve Forest.
