LIC Union celebrates anniversary

Mysuru: The LIC Employees Union celebrated the 45th anniversary of All India LIC Employees Federation (AILICEF) recently.

AILICEF Joint Secretary B.G. Balaji, addressing the gathering at the gate meeting organised at City Branch premises, recalled that the stellar role played by the Federation right from its birth, like getting newer benefits, charter struggle, Bonus issue, removal of ceiling on DA, Gross Salary, Medical Reimbursement Scheme, pension, Productivity-linked lumpsum incentive (PLLI) , Meal Coupons and family floater mediclaim.

He said that it also served the interests of the policy holders and nation by averting split of LIC’s five regional Corporations, which would have ended with unnecessary competition amongst the individual Corporations.

Yashwanthkumar and R.S. Chandrashekar gave slogans. S. Venkataraman, General Secretary, LICEU, Mysuru, welcomed and Puttaraju proposed a  vote of thanks.

Six ceiling fans were donated to Ranga Rao Memorial School for Disabled, according to a press release from the Joint Secretary.
