After reading about the Post Office helping the senior citizens get their Life Certificate on paying a nominal fee, we contacted the Vijayanagar 2nd Stage Post Office as my mother needed to get her certificate done.
My mother is a cardiac patient and has other issues with her arthritis so we were in quite a dilemma as to how this issue could be solved. The very thought of taking her all the way to the PF Office (which we came to know later, was shut and the process was held somewhere else) was very daunting especially with the covid situation. Hence, the information about the Post Office doing this service came as such a relief.
The Post Office told us to keep the required documents ready and they did come after a few hours and the entire work was done sitting in our living room. The staff came with their masks on and they asked my mother to sanitise her hands before she could do her fingerprint scan. They took all the adequate precautions and it was much appreciated by everyone in our family.
We are so grateful to the Post Office staff whose services go unnoticed and unappreciated most of the times.
