Life-time Achievement Award for film Director M.S. Sathyu

Bengaluru: Noted film Director and theatre personality M.S. Sathyu has been selected for the prestigious ‘Life-time Achievement Award’ given by the State Government during  the ongoing 15th Bengaluru International Film festival.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in a message on X (formerly Twitter), stated that the State Government has selected renowned cine Director Mysuru Srinivas Sathyu (M.S. Sathyu) for the prestigious life-time achievement award, in recognition of his contribution to the film industry and theatre. Hindi film ‘Garam,’ directed by M.S. Satyu had bagged many National and International film awards. ‘Hakeekat,’ his first film as an Art Director had bagged the Filmfare Award, while Kannada film ‘Bara,’ directed by him, had bagged many State and National awards.

‘Darashiko,’ a play directed by M.S. Sathyu, had bagged a prize for the best modern play.

CM Siddaramaiah has congratulated M.S. Sathyu, who hails from his home district of Mysuru.

Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot will present the award to  Sathyu on Mar. 7, the concluding day of the ongoing 15th Bengaluru International Film Festival at Bengaluru.
