Lions Club distributes artificial limbs to physically challenged

Mysore/Mysuru: Artificial limbs were distributed to the needy physically challenged persons at a programme organised by Lions Club of Mysore Golden City in association with Lions Club of Kamadenu, Lions Club of Sandalwood, Lions Club of Mysore East, Sparsha Hospital and St. Joseph’s Hospital Blood Bank at Mestri Thimmachar Choultry on Irwin Road in city on May 18.

Also, eye and health check up, blood donation and labour card registration camp was held at the same venue.

Addressing the gathering after inaugurating the programme, Sri Shivasujnana Teertha Mahaswamiji of Vishwakarma Jagadguru Peeta, Aremadanahalli, Vishwakarma Brahmana Mahasamsthana Mutt, lauded the Club for organising camps for the benefit of the needy.

About five physically challenged persons were symbolically given artificial limbs.

Venkatesh, Senior Deputy Director of Karnataka Milk Federation Poornachandra Tejaswi, Jayakumar, B. Raviprakash, Rajesh K. Jadav, Ln. S. Prameela, Ln. G.S. Umashankar, Ln. J. Asha, Ln. C.T. Manjunath and others were present.
