Living identity for Ring Road: A good initiative

Sir,

This is with reference to an opinion ‘Why not give Outer Ring Road a living identity?’ shared by Lakan Ashvij in SOM dated June 28. The idea of planting ‘flower plants’ in the stretches of the Outer Ring Road is a brilliant one.

This will definitely give the citizens in the neighbourhood a sense of belongingness and pride when they are delegated the responsibility to take care of it.

Also, our city will earn a mileage and an extra feather in its cap. Good initiative if the authorities consider this and do the needful in this rainy season itself, which will be another Dasara attraction.
