Property documents, jewellery, cash worth crores of rupees recovered

Mysore/Mysuru: The Lokayukta sleuths, who conducted raids on offices, houses and farm houses of three Government officials in Mysuru and Kodagu on charges of amassing wealth disproportionate to the known sources of income yesterday, recovered jewellery, cash and property documents worth crores of rupees. The raids were conducted based on the complaints filed under the Prevention of Corruption Act,1988.

During their raids on Manchanayakanahalli PDO Yatish, the sleuths recovered documents of his villa in Eagleton Golf Resorts, documents of four sites worth Rs. 1.16 cr., a house worth Rs. 92 lakh, Rs. 5,31,895 cash, 500 grams gold worth Rs. 24,83,550, 415 grams silver articles worth Rs. 72,000,                                    cars worth Rs. 23 lakh totalling Rs. 2,23,12,940.

The sleuths during their raids on Somwarpet Taluk Panchayat Executive Officer B.V. Jayanna,  recovered documents of a site worth Rs. 5.5 lakh, three houses worth Rs. 1.09 cr, 5.33 acre land, jewellery worth Rs. 8,63,424 and vehicles worth Rs. 25.70 lakh totalling to Rs. 1,30,73,788.

Lokayukta officers recovered documents of two houses worth Rs. 75 lakh, four acre land worth Rs. 40 lakh, Rs. 48,070 cash, jewellery worth Rs. 2,95,800, and cars worth Rs. 24.75 lakh summing up to Rs. 1,69,00,775 during their raids on M.M. Fayaz Ahmed, Assistant Engineer, Department of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj, Somwarpet.
