The Central Election Committee (CEC) of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will meet today  evening to finalise its second list of candidates for the Lok Sabha (LS) election to be held shortly.

According to highly placed sources, BJP is likely to announce its second list of candidates either today or tomorrow.

The CEC meeting, which was slated to be held yesterday, was postponed to today evening as Prime Minister Narendra Modi was on a tour. Apart from PM Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP National President J.P. Nadda will participate. It is expected that the meeting will finalise its list of candidates for many States including Karnataka.
