Maddur: M. Malavaiah (80), retired Head Master and a resident of Maddur, passed away following brief illness at his residence this morning. A native of Maraganahalli village, he leaves behind his wife Puttathayamma, sons Nagesh and Yashwanth, daughter Chandrakala, son-in-law, daughters-in-law, grand-children and a host of relatives and friends. Last rites were held this afternoon in the town.
