Mysuru lad S.D. Prajwal Dev, teaming up with Adil Kalyanpur, finished runner-up in the Men’s Doubles event in the MI 15 Sharm El Sheikh ITF Men’s Tennis Tournament held at Egypt from Mar.18 to 24.

In the final, the Netherlands pair of Igor Sijsling & Botic Van De Zandschulp beat Prajwal Dev & Adil Kalyanpur 6-6 (8), 2-6, 10-6 to win the title.

In the semi-finals, Prajwal Dev and Adil Kalyanpur combined well to beat Germany’s S. Robert and Kai Wehneit 6-2, 6-3 and progressed to the title round. In the quarter-final, the duo beat Kai Lemstra and Stephan Palosi (Rou) 4-6, 6-4, 10-6.

In the pre-quarter-finals,  Prajwal and Adil got the better of Daniel Altmaer and Adrian Bodmer 6-3, 3-6, 10-7 to                       progress further.
