‘Madhyama Ratha’ embarks on publicity for 34th Journalists State Conference

Mysuru:  MPs R. Dhruvanarayan and Pratap Simha launched ‘Madhyama Ratha,’ a publicity vehicle for the 34th Journalists State Conference to be held at Suttur Srikshetra in Nanjangud here on Mar.1 and 2, at Kote Anjaneyaswamy Temple, Palace North Gate, yesterday.

Pratap Simha, addressing the media on the occasion, said that the journalists who bring to light the insecurity and injustice meted out to the people in the society, themselves have to work in an atmosphere of insecurity. The Conference is a platform to try to resolve such issues.

“Earlier I myself have experienced the vagaries of the print media. I hope that the Conference will be a place to reflect the pains and anguish of the journalists and it will be a success,” he said.

The Ratha, after passing through the main thoroughfares of the city, moved towards K. R. Nagar, Berya, Saligram, Chunchanakatte, Hosuru, Bettadapura, Periyapatna and reached Hunsur in the evening.

Today, it will pass through the main streets of Hunsur and then go to H.D. Kote via Gaddige and later pass through Saragur, Nanjangud, T. Narasipur where it will conduct publicity programmes.

Mysuru Traffic Police Assistant Commissioner G.N. Mohan, Mysuru District Journalists Association (MDJA) President C.K. Mahendra, office-bearers Kote Manju, Subramanya, journalist Amshi Prasannakumar, Information Assistant Director Raju and others were present.
