Take out Padayatra to Bengaluru
Mysuru: Seeking implementation of Justice A.J. Sadashiva Commission Report, which has recommended inner reservation for Madiga Community, and to urge the State Government for forwarding the Commission Report to the Centre, more than 100 Madiga Community members, under the banner of Madiga Sanghatanegala Okkuta (Mysuru, Chamarajanagar and Mandya districts) took out a padayatra from the city to Bengaluru yesterday morning to take part in the indefinite stir at Freedom Park in Bengaluru commencing from Oct.2, marking Gandhi Jayanti. Writer Prof. K.S. Bhagawan set off the padayatra at Town Hall.
Okkuta President K. Prasanna Chakravarthy, Office-bearers C. Shivaiah, Nanjunda Maurya, Nagaraj and others were present.
