Madrira Kariappa (94), a resident of Vijayanagar 2nd Stage in city passed away yesterday.
A native of Kunda village in Ponnampet, he had served in the army during World War-II.
He leaves behind two daughters and a host of relatives and friends.
Cremation took place at Chirashantidhama in Gokulam this afternoon. Family can be contacted on Mob: 82771-59621.
