Maharaja’s students stir for postponement of exams

Mysore/Mysuru: Demanding postponement of exams till the recruitment of teaching faculty, students of Maharaja’s Degree College near Ramaswamy Circle, staged a protest in front of Centenary Hall in the campus yesterday.

The students, who staged protest under the banner of All India Democratic Students Organisation (AIDSO), alleged that “Following the lack of adequate teaching faculty even after a month since the new academic year began, the classes are not being conducted regularly with a portion of syllabus remaining incomplete. The students should be provided access to library and newspapers and drinking water arrangements should be made, besides maintaining the hygiene at toilets and cleanliness at classrooms, the protesting students demanded.
