4 teams to vie for the coveted trophy in Season-2

Bengaluru: Indian cricket legends Diana Edulji and Shantha Rangaswamy unveiled the trophy for the second edition of the Maharani KSCA T20 at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, here yesterday, marking another milestone in the build-up to Karnataka’s premier women’s franchise-based T20 tournament.

The trophy unveiling ceremony was attended by KSCA     President Venkatesh Prasad, members of the Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 Governing Council, KSCA Official Spokesperson Vinay Mruthyunjaya, franchise officials, office bearers and others.

Speaking at the event, Diana Edulji and Shantha Rangaswamy highlighted the role of the Maharani KSCA T20 in creating opportunities for emerging women cricketers and praised KSCA’s continued efforts in strengthening Karnataka’s cricketing pathway.

KSCA President Venkatesh Prasad reflected on the significance of the tournament and its continued contribution to the development of women’s cricket in the State.

“The Maharani KSCA T20 continues to provide an important platform for young players to showcase their abilities, gain valuable experience and take significant steps forward in their cricketing careers. We are proud to offer a pathway that inspires the next generation of champions and contributes to the continued growth of cricket across Karnataka,” he said.

Earlier, the Maharani KSCA T20 Season 2 Player Auction saw the four franchises — Bengaluru Blasters, Mysore Warriors, Hubli Tigers and Gulbarga Mystics finalise their squads for the current season. The tournament will be played at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru from tomorrow (July 22) till Aug. 2.
