Mahouts, Kavadis and family members enjoy Dasara lightings on ‘Ambaari’ Bus

Mysore/Mysuru: Mahouts and Kavadis, who played an important role by guiding their elephants during Dasara festivities and importantly the Jumboo Savari, enjoyed the Dasara lightings on various roads on the KSTDC Ambaari Double-decker Bus along with their family members yesterday.

Over 40 members, who boarded the open roof top bus in front of Kote Anjaneyaswamy Temple, passed through K.R. Circle, Sayyaji Rao Road, Government Ayurveda Hospital and College Circle, Old RMC Circle, Highway Circle (Moulana Abul Kalam Azad Circle), Millennium Circle, again on Sayyaji Rao Road, City Railway Station Circle, Metropole Hotel Circle, Ramaswamy Circle, Chamaraja Double Road, Gun House Circle, Harding Circle and back to starting point.

The Mahouts, Kavadis and their family members, who shouted ‘Jai Chamundeshwari’ throughout the ride, clicked photos and selfies of them with the lightings in the background.

As they had stayed put in the Palace premises along with their elephants for over a month tending to their dear elephants, the District Administration and the Tourism Department had organised a Ambaari Bus ride to them to view the Dasara lightings for which they thanked the authorities concerned.
