Make area around Mysore Palace litter and hawker-free

Sir,

The Mysuru City Corporation’s (MCC) decision to make D. Devaraj Urs Road litter-free is welcome though it is like surface topping the already near topped road.

I request a Central Business District (CBD) to be formed around the Mysore Palace to include Sayyaji Rao Road, Irwin Road, Ashoka Road and roads in Agrahara, make it litter-free and hawker-free to transform Mysuru into a clean and vibrant ambience-filled city.

Looks like MCC is just trying to please a set of elite business establishments for reasons known only to MCC but not in the interests of tax-paying citizens.

Let us work together for a lively and healthy Mysuru. Even if administrators are outsiders to Mysuru, I am hopeful they will embrace excellence in their work and make this a vision.
