This has reference to the news item in Star of Mysore dated 27.3.2019 calling the property owners to pay property tax for the year 2019-20 in the month of April 2019 to avail 5% rebate benefit under Karnataka Municipal Corporation Act.
The Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) is yet to computerise the tax assessment for online payment of tax whereas Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has been collecting the taxes online for the last many years. I do not know why MCC has still not gone for online payment of property taxes. I hope the incumbent Commissioner will do the needful immediately.
