To open 19 brand new showrooms in three months

Bengaluru: Malabar Gold & Diamonds, one of the largest and fast growing jewellery retail chains in the world, has firmed up mega expansion plans to bolster its business in India and abroad. As part of these plans, Malabar Gold & Diamonds will open 13 new showrooms in different States of India and 6 showrooms in other countries.   

The new showrooms will go on stream in the next three months. Besides this, Malabar Gold & Diamonds has also started spade-work to expand its India footprint by opening new showrooms in cities and towns. 

The expansion is part of Malabar Gold & Diamonds ambitious plan to become the world’s largest gold retail chain. Currently the company owns and operates more than 260 showrooms across 10 countries. The aim is to triple the total showroom count to 750. 

In India, the Malabar Gold & Diamonds will open new showrooms in Chandigarh, Kumbhakonam in Tamil Nadu, Patna in Bihar, Kammam in Telangana,   Lucknow and Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh, Kammanahali in Karnataka, Indore in Madhya Pradesh, Vashi and Thane in Maharashtra, Bhubaneswar in Odisha, Dwaraka in Delhi and Srikakulam in Andhra Pradesh within the next three months. The company will open new showrooms in Malaysia, Bangladesh, Singapore, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman and Qatar also.

Besides increasing the showroom count, the company has started the process of increasing the number of ornament making units. At present the company has jewellery making units in Kolkata, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Bangalore and Coimbatore.
