Malavanda Shanthi Uthappa (Koothanda Machie), a resident of Bannimantap in city, passed away last night. She was 80. 

She leaves behind her son Anoop Appayya, daughter Kavita Kaveri, granddaughter Nikita Dechakka and a host of relatives and friends.

Last rites were held at Chirashantidhama in Gokulam today.
