Mysore/Mysuru: The Malgudi Museum at Arasalu Railway Station, Shivamogga, will be open to public from July 9 consequent on easing of lockdown restrictions in the State.
Some of the episodes of the popular teleserial ‘Malgudi Days’ based on the short stories of the legendary writer R.K. Narayan were shot at Arasalu Railway Station environs. The museum is in a sense a tribute paid by the Railways to the author R.K. Narayan as also to cine artiste late Shankar Nag who produced the teleserial.
Rahul Agarwal, Divisional Railway Manager, South Western Railway, Mysuru Division has urged the museum visitors to adopt a Covid Appropriate Behaviour during their time in the museum premises. He has sought the cooperation of public in maintaining a safe environment inside the museum which will be open from 10 am to 5 pm (Tuesday holiday). Sanitising hands, wearing of face masks and social distancing are mandatory.
