Mysuru – A man has been remanded to Judicial custody for assaulting and abusing Cops during interrogation in Udayagiri Police Station here on Saturday night.
The accused has been identified as Syed Khaleelulla, a resident of Ghousianagar in city who was facing charges of assaulting his father.
It is reported that Syed, who had assaulted his father, was brought to the Police Station for interrogation by Udayagiri ASI Nagaraju on Saturday at about 8.30 pm following a complaint filed against him.
During interrogation, Syed, who reportedly said that he was a member of an organisation, allegedly caught hold of the SI’s uniform, manhandled the SI, assaulted three Cops on duty, bit another Cop, abused the Cops using foul language, damaged the furniture in the Police Station besides issuing murder threats. The Cops immediately arrested him, registered a case and handed him over to Judicial custody.
